High School Interns are volunteers placed at designated ASDP Sites who are striving to earn a credit toward graduation. These hours must be recorded by Site Supervisors on the Davidson County Internship Time Sheet. This commitment by high school students is important to them and we need to appreciate and value their interest by maintaining an accurate record on their behalf and guide them toward learning about working with children. The Internship Time Sheet should be handled the same way as counselor time sheets and turned into the Program Director weekly.
High School Interns are volunteers and are not: left alone with children, expected to initiate our program, handle discipline issues without assistance, address issues with parents, or administer first aid. These are the responsibility of the Supervisor and Counselors.
