Youth, Teen, & College students are not charged a facility fee.  College students must provide current verification of their full-time enrollment.  Senior couple: one spouse must be 62 or over.  *A family membership is defined as married husband and wife and their dependent children.

Payment for the first month of membership plus the full facility fee is required when joining on the bankdraft plan. Fees are subject to change. Board policy: membership fees are non-refundable.

Cancellation policy:
Any member who wishes to cancel their bankdraft membership must come by the YMCA business office and sign a cancellation form. This form must be signed by the last day of the month in order to take effect the following month.

**All children under 12 must be accompanied by a parent or guardian OR enrolled in a supervised program.  Children ages 12-15 can be at the Y on their own but cannot stay more than 4 hours per day and must leave by 7:00 p.m.  Exceptions will be for those enrolled in a supervised program OR those who are with a parent, guardian, or other adult age 18 or older who will assume responsibility for their supervision.

Triad Area Membership:
Nine YMCA's in our area have joined forces to offer this plan. Check at the front desk for details and fees.

Family Membership for Military Personnel
The J. Smith Young YMCA will extend a complimentary membership to families of currently deployed active military personnel.  The membership will be issued for a 3-month period with the possibility of renewal if the spouse verifies that they meet the eligibility requirement. Proof of deployment and a current active military card must be shown.  Deployment can be anywhere out of state where an obvious hardship will be placed on the family staying behind.

The membership is good only at the J. Smith Young YMCA.  Program participants must pay for any program charges (fitness or aquatics, etc.).  This membership is not good for a Triad YMCA membership.

Military personnel who are home on leave may contact the membership director for information concerning a short-term membership.

Silver Sneakers
You may be eligible for a free membership if you have health insurance with Humana, AARP, or Freedom Care.  Call us for more information.

Valuables: Please lock up all valuables. The YMCA cannot be held responsible for valuables that are lost or stolen.  Locks can be signed out at the front desk on a daily basis.
