Camp Timberwood is the YMCA Day Camp for children entering grades 1-5 that serves the southern part of our service area(Welcome, Reeds, Southwood, South Lexington, Southwest, Pickett, Davis Townsend, and Charles England schools).

This camp will operate from June 11th through August 22nd.  Part of the summer, campers will travel out to the Kiwanis Camp on Ridge Rd.  While at this camp site, campers will participate in activities that include swimming, canoeing, hiking, crafts, outdoor games, overnighters and more.  The other weeks will be held at a local school site.  During these weeks campers will go to the YMCA to swim, take field trips, play sports and have games, do arts and crafts, participate in drama and music, and more.  Campers may arrive as early as 6:30 a.m. and must be picked up no later than 5:30 p.m.

Camp Northern Light is the YMCA Day Camp that meets at Friedberg School and serves the northern part of our YMCA service area.  Students who attend Camp Northern Light are entering grades 1-8 (at Friedberg, Midway, Northwest, and North Davidson Middle schools).  This camp will operate June 11th through August 8th.  If you need camp after this date, you will need to also sign up for Camp Timberwood.

The program will offer days of outdoor activities, games, songs, trips, overnighters and more.  Campers will also go swimming at least twice a week.  Campers may arrive as early as 7:00 a.m. and must be picked up no later than 6:00 p.m.
