When you give to the Y, you’re doing your part to strengthen our community—and a strong community is good for everyone. Whether you’re helping a child in need attend summer camp, giving someone the assistance they need to make a healthy change in their life, or contributing to the construction of a new Y facility, your gift will let us continue to affect positive change in our region.
The IMPACT your donation has on our Y:
In 2024, thanks to our generous supporters, the Annual Giving Campaign raised $171,000.
100% of these funds were invested to create the following local impact:
- 279 families and individuals received financial assistance to be YMCA members
- 128 children received financial assistance to attend After School Discovery and Teen programming
- 91 children received financial assistance to participate in Swim Lessons, Youth Sports, Gymnastics and other programs
- 73 children received financial assistance to attend summer Camp Kiwanis
Our goal for 2025 is to raise over $175,000 to meet the ever growing needs of local
children, individuals and families in Lexington and Davidson County through the safe,
quality, character developing programs the J Smith Young YMCA proudly offers “for all”.
